At Aviation Academy Scotland, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but cancellations and no-shows can impact training schedules and aircraft availability. To ensure smooth operations, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy in place.

1. Cancellation Notice Requirements

  • Students must provide at least 24 hours' notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson will incur a cancellation fee.

2. Cancellation Fees

  • A fee of £75 per scheduled hour of training will be charged for late cancellations.

  • This applies to both flight lessons and simulator sessions.

  • If a student has multiple bookings in one day, each session will be charged separately.

3. How to Cancel a Lesson

  • Part-time students can cancel their own lessons via Private Radar.

  • Full-time students should contact the operations team as their schedules are managed by us.

  • If you experience technical issues with Private Radar, please email or call the academy as soon as possible.

4. What If My Lesson Is Cancelled Due to Weather or Operational Reasons?

  • If a lesson is cancelled due to weather, aircraft maintenance, or operational reasons, you will not be charged a fee.

  • The academy will work with you to reschedule the lesson at the earliest available opportunity.

5. What Happens If I Miss a Lesson Without Cancelling?

  • A missed lesson without prior notice will be considered a no-show, and the full lesson cost may be charged.

  • Repeated no-shows may result in restricted booking privileges.

6. Exceptions and Special Circumstances

  • We understand that emergencies happen. If you have a valid emergency, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will assess your case individually.

Need to Cancel a Lesson?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, do so at least 24 hours in advance via Private Radar or by contacting the operations team.
